| RULES AND
REGULATIONS |
| DEFINATION:
- |
| Unless there
is anything repugnant or inconsistent with its objects
or context the following expression used in the
memorandum of the Association and rules and regulations
of the New Angel Education & Technical Training
Institute, Chandigarh shall have the meaning as
defined below:- |
- " The Association"
or "The Society" means the UGCE-INSURANCE
INSTITUTE FOR EDUCATION & TRAINING.
- "These Presents"
mean and include the Memorandum or Association
rules and regulations and bylaws of the Association,
in force from time to time.
- "The Act" means
the Society Registration Act, 1860 as amended
from time to time or such other enactment as
may be in force as law governing the societies
in the Union Territory, Chandigarh- for the
time being.
- "In writing and
written" include printing, lithography,
cyclostyle, CD Roms, videos and other modes
of representing or reproducing words in a visible
form.
- "Month" and
Year means the English Calendar Month and English
Calendar year.
- "Rules" include
memorandum of Association and rules and regulations
and bylaws of the Association.
- Governing council/ Executive
committee means the Executive body of the society.
- Unless, otherwise defined
in these presents or unless the context requires
or includes a different meaning, any word or
expression occurring in these presents shall
bear the same meaning in any notification or
order issued by the Government to the Association
in relation there to.
- Member means any 'Individual'
registered in the register as a member whose
rights, jurisdiction and functions have been
clearly stated in the rules and regulations.

| MEMBERSHIP |

| The membership of the
society shall be open to every person who has attained
the age of 18 years regardless of sex, caste or
creed, provided the conditions of category to which
he or she wishes to join are fulfilled. The following
categories of members may be enrolled: |
- Founder Members
Those who have subscribed
to the Memorandum of Association and have paid
Rs. 5,100 in a lump sum as subscription
- Patron
Any person who subscribe to
the aims and objectives of the society and is
of eminence in the field of insurance, education
or otherwise, whom the governing council so
appoints.
- Donor
Any person who subscribes
to the objectives of the society and donates
a sum of Rs.51,000/- or more in a lump sum or
in two installments (within twelve months)/in
kind shall be entitled to be a donor.
- Corporate Member
Any Social, Cultural, Educational
or religious body or any other association,
council or organisation working in India or
abroad which subscribes to the objectives of
the society and pays a sum of not less than
Rs.1,00,000.00 in a lump sum or in two installments
(within twelve months) shall be entitled to
become a corporate member.
Explanation: The
executive head or any person, duly nominated
according to its own rules and regulations by
the organisation will be entitled to all the
rights and privileges of the member ship of
the society.
- Life Member:
Any person who subscribes
to the objectives of the society and donates
a sum of Rs.21,000.00 or more in a lump sum
or in two installments (within twelve months)
shall be entitled to become a life member.
- General Member:
Any person who subscribes
to the objectives of the society and pays a
yearly subscription of Rs.1000.00 shall be entitled
to become a general member. If further subscription
is not made after the expiry of the year, he/she
ceases to be a member.
- Honorary/Co-opted
Members:
The Governing Council of the
society may co-opt any person for any period
but not for life, belonging to any class, caste
or creed to become an honorary / co-opted members
of the society without any liability to pay
any subscription or donation. Such persons will
be regarded as members of the society without
any liability to pay any subscription or donation.
Such persons will be regarded as members on
their acceptance of the invitations of the Governing
Council, in writing.
- Patron-In-chief
:
The Governing Council will
appoint an eminent personality who is totally
committed to the objectives and the tenets of
the Society to be the Patron-in-chief.
- Refusal of Membership:
If the membership is refused
to any person, the reason for refusal shall
be intimated to the person concerned.
